It's a Race to the Finish...

And for once in my life, I DON'T WANT TO WIN. Yes, that's right, Jadee doesn't want to win. I am a few days shy of 37 weeks and the quote from the doctor from my last appointment was, "You are not dilated but he is head down and looks ready to go. You have a "better than average cervix for a first time mom."" What the? What exactly does that mean? Whatever it means, this baby cannot come out yet. As much as we are longing to meet our little one, the finish date on the house keeps getting pushed back...a day at a time. Originally it was going to be done June 12th...which would have been awesome. Both Gary and I will both have a ton of family in town for a family baby shower. We could have had movers galore. But not now. The date has been backed up till June 19th. That is still questionable. AUGHHHH!!! Our baby is due June 29th and that's IF he doesn't decide to make his presence known early. Moving into a new house and having a baby in the same month is not a suggested way to go...

36 1/2 weeks

The brick is done. The first coat of stucco is on. No, it won't be gray. They paint the stucco whatever color you want. Still crossing our fingers on that one...

The laundry room. Our cupboards in the laundry room and bathrooms are different colors than our kitchen. But all are made out of cherry

The kitchen. No counter tops yet. I can't wait for those!!

The house combined with the fact that the doctor is out of town till the 19th make me hope you don't come early. Crossing my fingers for 40 weeks.

Your house is looking awesome. To bad you can't move in this weekend, Nick and I are professional movers. Ha, not really I'm ready to pull my hair out every move. I kind of get anxiety thinking about moving again. Can't wait to see you all this weekend.

If I hear about your cervix again I'm going to barf. Yep, you don't need to post about the female genitalia.

jadee honey, do you not remember anything that dame allyn taught us in health occ? a better than average cervix for a first time mom is pretty darn good, cause there are lots of first time moms that end up having c=sections because their cervixes won't behave. After the first child, they start to usually dilate with the next ones before the baby is born, which means that your cervix is doing what it's supposed to do..I've worked with moms and babies and read all the charts and talked to all the maternal fetal med docs and OBs so you are doing great!!!! good luck with everything! and taylor can go ahead and barf now....
